Stephen Hawkings’ warning on climate change

Stephen Hawking died on 14th March 2018. In his last years, the genius physicist often warned that human activity is causing irreversible damage to the planet, and that we must take action to stop climate change.

“Climate change is one of the great dangers we face, and it’s one we can prevent,” Hawking said in May 2017. “We can do this, I am an enormous optimist for my species; but it will require the elites, from London to Harvard, from Cambridge to Hollywood, to learn the lessons of the past year. To learn above all a measure of humility,” he said in 2017, commenting on the USA’s withdrawal from the Paris Agreement.
